Cassey Ho, a fitness blogger, knows that society's idea of the "ideal" body type for women changes quickly. As with fast fashion, where trends come and go in the blink of an eye, these sudden changes in ideas of what a perfect body should look like make women feel confused, tired, and lacking.
Cassey Ho will talk about how ideas about
beauty and body shape have changed over time.

She would look like this if she had always
had the "perfect" body.
"From the middle of the 2010s to 2018, big butts,
wide hips, small waists, and full lips are in! Because Instagram models post
"belfies," there has been a massive rise in the number of people
getting butt implants. Even plastic surgeons who change how women look have
become well-known on Instagram. Between 2012 and 2014, there was a 58% rise in
butt implants and injections.
"In the 1990s and 2000s, big breasts, flat stomachs,
and gaps between the thighs were in. In the United States, breast augmentation
was the most popular cosmetic surgery in 2010. The Victoria's Secret Angel is
that old. She is tall and has an athletic build. She always has long legs and a
big chest.
"The early 1990s: THIN IS IN. What's popular on the
runways and the covers of magazines right now is having sharp bones and being
very thin. "Heroin chic" is even a name for it.
"The hourglass shape is popular in the 1950s. The
perfect size for Elizabeth Taylor is 36-21-36. Marilyn Monroe is admired for
how soft and voluptuous she is. Women are shown ads for pills that will help
them gain weight. This decade sees the birth of Playboy magazine and Barbie.
"In the 1920s, it was cool to look boyish,
androgynous, and young, with small breasts and a straight body. Unlike the
"Gibson Girl" of the Victorian era, women today choose to hide their
curves. They do this by binding their chests with strips of cloth to create a
thin body type that looks good in flapper dresses.
"1400-1700 The Renaissance in Italy – It's popular
to have a round stomach, big hips, and a big bust. Being well-fed shows that
you are wealthy and important. Thin people are only poor."
"Boobs are out, butts are in" is
not an excellent way to treat your body. Making your own body is much more
dangerous than making clothes.
"Stop getting rid of your body like it's
out of style. Please love and care for your body, and don't give in to the
beauty standard. Accept your body because it is the perfect body for YOU."
People congratulated her on her positive
project
