Getting married is one of the most important days in our lives. It’s when we make a vow to be with our partner forever.
Naturally, certain factors can disrupt the joy in a marriage, such as instances of cheating. Regrettably, infidelity can occur not only after many years of marriage, but also early on.
The couple had been together for many years. The wedding day was meant to be the happiest day for the bride. However, the night before the wedding, she got a text that altered her life forever.
Casey served as the bride’s maid for an unnamed bride. The fiancé, Alex, was suspected. They were enjoying their drinks when several messages were sent to her phone from an unknown number.
The person included screen grabs and asked her, “Would you marry him?”
The messages painted a negative picture of Alex. It appeared that he was involved with another woman before his wedding.

A third text went on: “I miss you so much. I can’t stop
thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”
“I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey wrote. “My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off.”
She continued to write: “But I loved Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and sad to be angry. I didn’t call him.
“Eventually, we tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink and when dawn finally broke I awoke the girls and told them my decision – I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.”
Instead of reading her vows, she chose to seek revenge by reading the text messages out loud to all the wedding guests.
She said: “It seems Alex is not who I thought he was. I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here.
“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
The groom’s face turned pale as blood dripped down, his private messages exposed to everyone. He stormed out of the church with his best man following.
In the end, Casey said: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one he** of a party.”
