A colossal 12-foot python recently startled a family in
Thailand by emerging from their toilet. The incident, which occurred in Samut
Prakan on March 17, sent shockwaves through the household. Suwi Paramas, a
housewife, was left terrified as the massive snake suddenly appeared while she
was washing her hands in the bathroom.
Emergency services were summoned, and a wildlife crew was
called to the scene. Despite their initial efforts, extracting the snake proved
challenging. Eventually, they had to dismantle the plumbing to safely remove
the snake.
“I was so scared. I couldn’t even watch why they were catching the snake. It could have killed me,” Suwi expressed.
Thankfully, the operation was carried out without harm to
anyone, and the snake was rescued with the intention of returning it to its
natural habitat. This isn’t the first time such incidents have occurred in
Thailand, where snakes seek refuge in cool, damp areas during hot seasons.
In 2021, a man was bitten by an 8-foot python in a
restroom, and a similar incident took place in 2016 when a python bit a man in
the genitals.
