Mom Of Black And White Twins Boys Often Gets Asked Which One Is Hers

Little did this Nigerian woman, who is 31 years old, know what awaited her when she welcomed her newborns in February. Now, she can effortlessly tell apart her identical twin sons. Despite being born just minutes apart, Daniel and David bear no resemblance to each other.

Stacy and Babajide are proud parents of Albinos, their lovely twins who live in Lagos. These adorable siblings never fail to catch people’s eyes due to their strikingly different looks. David stands out with his fair complexion and golden hair, while Daniel takes after his older sister Demilade, with his dark skin and curly black hair.

In just one year, the twins amassed almost 18,000 followers on Instagram all thanks to Stacy’s choice to showcase the unique duo’s adventures there.

Everyone was completely taken by surprise when the twins were born on February 26 of last year.

During my pregnancy, we were completely unaware of their dissimilarities. The scan failed to reveal any indications, so it came as an enormous surprise when the first twin, Daniel, was born with black hair, followed by the second twin, David, with golden hair. Since I had a cesarean section, the doctors exclaimed, “It appears you have completely non-identical twins.” Before I knew it, nurses began emerging to catch a glimpse of them,” shared Stacy, a mother of three.

The twins were easily distinguishable from each other as one had a black complexion while the other had a white complexion.

Stacy graciously shared her husband’s sincere reaction to this unexpected twist of fate.

Their father was incredibly moved and promptly christened My Twin 2 (David) as ‘Golden,’ affectionately referring to him as Mr. Golden. He was filled with immense joy upon seeing his sons. He stood there for over 10 minutes, gazing at them, and expressed that he was simply marveling at the magnificent creation of God and that they were his most precious gift.

David belongs to the incredibly rare group of individuals with albinism; only one out of every 20,000 babies are born with this unique condition.

Albinism is a rare condition that affects the appearance due to the absence of melanin, the pigment responsible for color in the skin, hair, and eyes. It impacts individuals from all racial and ethnic backgrounds, and the degree of pigmentation varies. With a low occurrence rate of 3,000 to 20,000 births, albinism is considered uncommon. People with albinism need to be extra careful as it can lead to various skin and vision issues.

David’s hair is absolutely stunning with its golden hue, and his complexion is exceptionally fair because of oculocutaneous albinism. Thankfully, Stacy assures us that David is perfectly healthy and has no health concerns whatsoever.

Nigeria stands out as a country with a high number of individuals with albinism, with more than two million confirmed or suspected cases. Unfortunately, despite these numbers, prejudice against this community based on their skin color remains prevalent. Shockingly, over 600,000 albino Nigerians face discrimination and harassment from their peers, family, and communities. This mistreatment often leads to challenges in their professional lives and academic pursuits.

Stacy insisted that her two sons are loved equally and unconditionally, and she mentioned that no one has ever made a negative comment about them to her.

Whenever we go out, there are always whispers and curious questions about what’s going on. Their cuteness just makes you want to go over and say hi.

The twins’ family has been getting modeling offers from UK agencies because of their unique features. They are eager to seize any chances that come their way and have set up an Instagram account to spread happiness and shed light on important matters. Stacy and I thought it would be a good idea to make an account for them to raise awareness as we feel they have a compelling tale to share.

Stacy mentioned that they have two incredible personalities, and they have been walking and playing a lot for over a year now.

Daniel is known for his expressive nature, whereas David tends to observe more. Both of them possess a strong curiosity. Daniel has a passion for food, while David is more selective in his choices. Daniel is incredibly playful, while David prefers to pick his moments. Daniel always takes on the role of the older brother, and they both have an abundance of energy.
