We have all been touched by technology in some way or another no matter who we are. Sometimes technological advancements happen so quickly and we feel difficult to keep up with them. They influence our lives in a positive way and sometimes, in a frustrating way too. Now we have the ability to listen to any song at any time we want to hear it. There were times that we had to listen to the radio for quite some time before we heard the song we actually wanted to hear.

As times change, things move forward. It’s really good if we can look back on what we had and try to appreciate the simplicity of times. We may wonder how we were able to survive even though it could be a rather nostalgic feeling in many cases. We all have look through an old box and find something that used to be very popular but that nobody knows what it is any longer. Even though they are from the ‘good old days’ for us, it blows their mind that something like that even existed for the younger generation.

Almost every girl learned to sew but not that long ago. There was a sewing kit, including scissors, a pin cushion, pins, needles, and a measuring tape.

Even if you did not sew, you would be able to recognize most of those items today. But there are also some things that we might not recognize such as needle threaders.

The needle threaders are still used by some people, but those coin-shaped objects with thin wire in a diamond shape were very popular back in the day.

It is really hard to put a thread into the eye of the needle. But this little contraption made it a lot easier.

Tailor’s chalk is also something that you probably wouldn’t recognize.

You may see this as a fidgit spinner, but it’s actually a record adapter. As very few people use records nowadays these adapters are not often in circulation.

You could use one of these adapters to get a record to fit if you put a record onto the record player that was the wrong size.
